Velvento 18 - Window Shopping In The Big City

Late in the afternoon on day four the family took us to Kozani, the closest major city. Right when we arrived to park the cars it began pouring...I guess we picked the right day to walk around and do some shopping! Giannis was kind enough to shuttle everyone from our parking spaces to a coffee shop as he knew the area the best. He worked in Kozani, so it was easy for him to get around, and he's an Agoratsiou, so it's natural for him to help others before himself.

We hung out for a bit until the rain stopped, and then took off to see the city! We saw shops for home furnishings, stylish clothing, and so much more. The real gems, however, were the leather shops (where one worker would make belts, hats, etc. right in front of you), the authentic Greek shops with copper plates, Byzantine style religious artwork, and the shoe shops.

We saw the coolest old lady walking with her mountain-style walking stick and...drum roll please...freshy fresh NIKE running shoes! Can you say "new ad campaign"? I think I'll be sending this one in...
