Santorini 4 - See Ya Santorini

On our last morning we enjoyed a large breakfast in our robes. We ate outside next to the pool, enjoying the morning sun and some memories of the trip that was too-soon to be over.

We packed up our things after breakfast and loaded up the car with as much stuff as we could fit. The addition of four new full-size suitcases to carry all of the gifts from our family seemed precarious until the hotel manager okayed the storage of our bigger bags inside the office until we had dropped off mom, Shabd, and Antoine at the port with the first load. Dad and I wound back up the mountain road to get the rest of the bags, head back down the mountain to return the car at the port and join our family for the ferry ride to Athens.

On the other ferries with rooftop seating, we had been too late to claim any real chairs or benches so we stood or sat on the ground to enjoy the high winds and shining sun. This time, however, mom and Shabd scouted out some benches where we could really enjoy the ride out of Santorini in visually stunning style. I had the luxury of being able to play guitar as loud as I wanted without disturbing any other passengers (I spent almost two hours taking full advantage of this opportunity). We also got to watch the sunset from our spot on the roof-deck and man was it beautiful.
