Thessaloniki 2 - Family Ties
The family is really close - you could mistake the family ties easily as each uncle was like a father or mother even to their nieces and nephews, and the young children were all like brothers and sisters. The kids were so loving immediately when we arrived. They told Shabd and me by the first night that they loved us and were so happy to have us there with them after so many stories. The visit was full of hugs and kisses, Greek and English (as the girls taught us some Greek and we helped them practice their English, which was SO MUCH BETTER than our Greek...). The girls take 2-4 language classes each in their school, and really enjoyed practicing with us.
This is our family photo from Thessaloniki - (add this to our Velvento family picture...and it's still not the whole family!).
