8 - The Family Picnic

Next to the wildlife zoo there is a great park with a picnic area and a wide-open field. The whole family joined for a relaxing lunch and some games with the kids! It was one of the few times we had everyone together in one place on our trip to Australia.

Nick and dad opening up a cool little portable picnic table. It has built-in chairs which naturally balance the weight and support to the four corners. It wasn't even that heavy!

Rarely do we see dad this animated, but he really enjoyed his time with uncle Tim and the family. We were all laughing at how similar they are mentally, emotionally and most obviously physically - they pulled up their sleeves to compare arms, and these were the results haha...

Brooke (uncle Tim's granddaughter) couldn't get enough of the Shabd ride...so they quickly joined forces again just a few minutes into the picnic.

Uncle Tim and his daughter Irene are such a sweet pair, we had to catch this picture.

Cousins Con and Con and Nat and Nikki hangin' out on the steps. And a little bit of rock and roll to go with lunch!

Cousin Irene playing the horse for Brooke and Christian. She was on all fours and even making sounds to entertain the two of them, walking them around for meter after meter - that's dedication!

The rocket launch pad is one of the kid's favorites. Every time Nick would set it up for his grandchildren, they would launch it immediately and yell "DO IT AGAIN! DO IT AGAIN!". Demanding little buggers.

And finally, here is a family photo for all of our family and friends back home and across the world to share the experience with us in spirit. We would like to thank all of you for your continued loving support of my dad and our family on these intense and amazing adventures to meet his family. Consider this our holiday card, sent with love from Sydney, Australia:

Cheers!
